Soho House | Weekender in Valle de Guadalupe
Soho House’s Cities Without Houses membership brings the Soho House community together in cities without a physical house to create connection through travel, culture, and shared experiences.
For the CWH community’s annual Weekender, members traded the city life for three days in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico’s sun-soaked wine country. MIHO partnered with Soho House to bring the destination experience to life while shaping an itinerary designed to showcase the best of the region.
The weekend unfolded at an easy, beautiful pace. Oceanfront lobster lunch gave way to vineyard wine tastings, sound healing, and long family-style dinners under the stars. Evenings stretched into late-night mezcal tastings and good conversation.
The Itinerary
The journey began in San Diego and headed south along the Baja coast. After crossing the border, the group stopped in Puerto Nuevo for lobster, shopping, and a little taste of classic coastal Mexico before continuing into wine country.
Guests arrived at Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe and settled in with welcome wine from the property's vineyard and massages during check-in. The first evening included happy hour, a family-style dinner, and sound healing under the Baja sky.
Saturday started slow. Guests could enjoy yoga, spa treatments, and time to relax before heading to Lechuza for a wine tasting and tour. Back at Banyan Tree, the group gathered for a hands-on ceviche-making class before heading to Bar Bura for dinner and sunset views. The night ended at Tahona with a mezcal tasting and late-night snacks.
On Sunday, everyone came back together for breakfast before a smooth trip across the border and back to San Diego.
The Details
The Weekender was an extension of the Soho House experience. Good food and drinks, music, wellness, beautiful settings, and plenty of time to connect were at the heart of the weekend. Familiar touches traveled with us too, from Picantes and curated playlists to Cowshed scents and candlelit dinners.
Thoughtful gifting and in-room amenities added another layer. The details were intentional but never overdone, creating a consistent sense of Soho House from the first welcome drink in San Diego through the final morning in Baja.
